Attached to the exam are extracts of travelogues of two travelers from the medieval world: Ibn-Battuta from Morocco and Marco polo from Venice. They wrote and travelled in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth century. Ibn-Battuta describes Cairo in Egypt and Marco Polo describes Kinsay, a Chinese city. Read their accounts carefully and discuss the similarities and differences in the description of the cities of Cairo and Kinsay.
