PSYB19-114 Research Field Practice in Cognitive/Affective Psychology 2020 FALL Literature review on Affective psychology Requirements: 1. choose a topic from the opportunities below a) music and emotions b) emotions of animals c) gender/cultural differences in emotional expression d) gender differences in (achievement) motivation e) inducing emotions for scientific research f) ways of studying altered states of consciousness g) emotional crying h) attachment/bonding between animals and humans i) human pheromones j) lie detection 2. your task is to find at least 10-12 scientific articles, most of them should be after 2000, to follow the recent research topics, methods, results etc. in the chosen area, but of course there could be some inevitable classics or interesting articles from an earlier date. You can find detailed information of the databases available at ELTE and their remote access here, but Google/Google scholar can be used successfully as well: https://konyvtar.elte.hu/en/services/accessing-network-home 3. write a short introduction/summary about each article in a few sentences, in everyday language (max 5 sentences), not the replication of the abstract! AND 4. write a short integration which is based on all of these articles as references: introducing the topic, making connections, and mentioning your own impressions, thoughts on the topic as well. This one should be 6-8000 characters (+reference list), Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 distance between the lines. 6. upload your work to Teams. The deadline for this is 4th of January. I can not extend the deadline, so if I do not hand in the paper in time, you can not get your grade (or you can get a 1). So you should find and read the relevant, mostly recent articles ont he topic you choose, plus introduce and integrate them as well.
